Annual plans pin the desktop version you bought: when a subscription lapses, that version keeps working forever, and new desktop releases lock until you renew. Version pinning is a desktop-license concept; the web studio has no version to pin and always serves the latest deploy. Monthly plans don't include perpetual fallback. Pro and Team subscriptions both include the web studio at app.wurk.haus — one account signs in on desktop and in the browser. The web studio reaches your model; the desktop app reaches your infrastructure. They share the same modeling core, and one Pro or Team account signs in on both — here's the honest split.

The web studio is local-first too: your design data stays in your browser — projects autosave locally and download as .dsm files, and AI calls go straight from your browser to your own provider, never through our servers.
Network disclosure
Every outbound call, documented.
Wurk.Flow collects no usage analytics — but it isn't literally air-gapped either. This is the complete list of network traffic the app initiates on its own, on desktop and in the browser — alongside the calls you trigger yourself: AI requests with your own key, MotherDuck queries, and feedback you submit, so your security team can verify it against policy before anything is installed or opened.
Never transmitted, in any configuration: your database credentials and query results. Project data stays on your device too — a file on your disk on desktop, and in the browser on web. The only exceptions are features you opt into below (a Co-Op session syncs live canvas state through its relay, and AI requests include the schema context you ask about).
Baseline
License validation
A periodic check that a paid seat is active — against our license service on desktop, and against the entitlement endpoint for a signed-in web session. Required for Pro and Team. Signed out, the web studio never makes this call at all.
Update checks (desktop only)
The desktop app never checks for updates on its own. It only contacts the release feed when you click Check for Updates in the About window, and nothing downloads without another explicit click. The web studio has nothing to check — it always serves the latest deploy.
Crash & error reports (desktop only)
Anonymized reports via Sentry, sent from packaged desktop builds only when an error actually occurs. License keys, machine IDs, and known AI-key formats are scrubbed before sending, and AI keys never leave the encrypted local store. The web studio sends no crash reports at all — errors surface as on-screen messages.

AI providers
Only if you enable AI features: the app calls your chosen provider directly with your own API key. Off by default.
Co-Op relay (Team tier, desktop only)
Only during a live collaboration session, and only in the desktop app. A session carries live canvas state through the relay — use the default at wss://relay.wurk.haus or self-host a Docker relay on your own network.
Database connections (desktop only)
Direct connections to databases you configure. Traffic goes from your machine to your database — nothing routes through us.
License administration
Manage Pro and Team seats, add or remove members per billing cycle, switch between monthly and annual, and review your version-pin status — all from the license portal.
